As we age, the likelihood of developing diseases and the need for specialized care increases. At the Tohid Elderly Rehabilitation and Care Institute, medical and nursing services are provided with the highest standards and under the supervision of specialist doctors and nurses. The goal of this department is to prevent diseases, diagnose problems in a timely manner, and provide accurate and continuous treatment to maintain the health and comfort of the elderly.
Doctors examine the elderly at specific intervals to check the general condition of the body, heart, lungs, digestive system, and other organs. This continuous monitoring allows potential problems to be identified and treated before they progress.
Specialist nurses are present at the institute at all hours of the day and night to carry out the doctor’s orders and take the necessary measures immediately in the event of an emergency. This constant presence provides peace of mind for the elderly and their families.
Blood pressure, blood sugar, blood oxygen levels, heart rate, and body temperature are measured and recorded regularly. This helps the healthcare team to quickly detect possible changes and take preventive measures.
All drug injection services, serum therapy, bed sore dressings, and other therapeutic measures are performed only on the basis of a doctor’s prescription and by experienced nurses to reduce treatment errors to zero.
A comprehensive record is prepared for each elderly person, including medical history, medications, test results, radiology images, and medical reports. This file is regularly updated and allows the treatment team to provide specific and targeted care.
Problems such as Alzheimer’s, memory disorders, depression and anxiety are common among the elderly. For this reason, neuropsychiatric specialists are present in the nursing home or visit regularly to scientifically manage these problems.
Bed sores are one of the biggest threats to the elderly who are less mobile. In our center, the formation and progression of these wounds is prevented by using specialized dressings, restorative drugs, modern equipment and regular changes in the elderly’s body position.
If necessary, catheterization is performed by trained nurses and is performed in full compliance with sterile principles. Post-catheter care is also closely monitored to prevent infection and maintain urinary tract health.
After the doctor’s prescription, the center’s purchasing officer procures the medications from reputable pharmacies. Then, the nurse systematically categorizes and prepares the medications based on dosage, time of use, and the elderly person’s name so that they can be delivered to the elderly person at the exact time and according to the doctor’s prescription.
If more specialized services are needed, such as complex tests, surgery, or dental services, full coordination is made with reputable clinics and hospitals so that the elderly person receives the best medical services.
For the elderly who have respiratory problems, the center has modern oxygen generators. These devices are connected to an emergency power system so that there is no interruption in the treatment process even during a power outage.
